10-13yo Kids Aerial and Acrobatics Classes

We follow QLD School Terms for our group classes:

  • Term 2 - April 15th to June 22nd

  • Term 3 - July 8th to Sept 14th

  • Term 4 - Sept 30th to Dec 7th

No Intro Passes are able to be used in Week 10 of term.

We do allow Pro-rated memberships if you are starting late in term (subject to class availability) . Pro-rated classes are calculated at $30/class.

Class ratios are 8 students to 1 teacher.

We encourage drop and go for our kids classes, to help prevent distractions throughout class times.

Class cancellation policy is 7hours for Kids Classes. Cancelling a class does not cancel scheduled payments. You are eligible for 1 makeup lesson per term if you have cancelled at least 7 hours prior. Makeup lessons are subject to availability, and you may need to waitlist. Makeup lessons expire at the end of the term and do not rollover.

We do offer Multi-class memberships for the following circumstances:

  • 1 student attends more than 1 class per week (eg Aerial + Acrobatics) = 2xweek Aerial Membership

  • 2 siblings attend 1 class each a week = 2xweek Aerial Membership

  • 1 parent attends adults classes and 1 child attends kids classes = 2xweek Aerial Membership

  • You will need to message our Admin team to setup sharing the membership amongst your family.

Choose the Class Level for your Child:

EVERYONE STARTS HERE!

In Intro/L1 to learn the foundations of Aerial Skills (even if they have Acrobatics/Gymnastics/Dance background). There are lots of skills we learn in this level and your child may be in this level for 1-2 terms.

As your child’s strength, confidence and skill retention increases, they will progress to learning more skills up in the air. Your child may be in this level for 2-3 terms.

Now that students can hold themselves up in the air safely, we build the endurance and body awareness for drops and rolls in all directions. There are many, many skills to learn here and your child may be in this level for 3-4 terms.

Once students have a solid knowledge and control of drops in all directions, we start to add complex sequences, entries and exits, as well as stacking multiple drops together.

Our ground based class will skill up your teen in handstands, headstands, and other ground based flexibility skills.

For those kids that just want to learn Aerial Hoop (or add a second class to their week that is a different apparatus). Students will learn shapes under, in and on top of the Lyra.

What is the different between Tween/Teen Aerial Arts Classes and Acrobatics Classes?

Tween/Teen Aerial Arts Classes:

  • Our Aerial Arts Classes explore tricks in the air on Aerial Silks, Aerial Hammock, Trapeze and Aerial Hoop. They incorporate an acrobatics/circus game warmup.

  • And are held in our Downstairs Aerial Room and incorporate a whole group warmup activity which may be a circus game or acrobatics movements.

  • We have 3 classes that run at the same time with varying levels to allow students to progress.

  • ALL students start in Intro/L1 and your teachers will notify when your child is ready to move up to the next level.

  • In Term 1 and 3 we provide Video Updates at the end of term to share what we have been working on.

  • In Term 2 and 4 Parents are invited into the Studio at the end of term for a Performance Week where your kids can sow you the skills they have been working hard at.

Tween/Teen Acrobatics Classes:

  • Our Acrobatics classes are ground based class where your children can learn the techniques in handstands, cartwheels, rolls and balances.

  • This class is held in our Upstairs Room.

  • We have Handbalancing/Pilates classes for Tweens, and Teens are welcome to join our Adults Acrobatics Classes.

  • In Term 1 an 3 we will record a video update at the end of term to share the skills your children have been working on.

  • In Term 2 and 4 parents are invited to attend the Studio for a Performance week in the last week of term, where your children will show you the skills they have been working hard at.
