Carlie Page - Owner, Instructor
[ Aerial Silks, Trapeze, Aerial Hoop, Aerial Fitness,Pilates ]
I grew up between Sydney, Central Coast and North Queensland.
I got into circus by trying out Flying Trapeze, and then deciding on something a little less hectic and I fell in love with Aerial Silks, Trapeze and Aerial Hoop. I have been doing Aerial for 8 years now, and teaching for 6 years.
I started HAPY Studio in 2018 to provide an inclusive and friendly environment to learn Aerial Arts. Aerial is my happy place and I love sharing that with others.
My favourite thing about circus is seeing individuals take a concept and then expressing it in their own way. I personally love the escape of aerial, being in the air forces me to get out of my head and focus on myself, I find the movement helps me through emotionally hard times. I love that there is always a new challenge and brings me a sense of accomplishment.
I find it hard to narrow down my favourite apparatus to teach, I love teaching Beginners of all ages, and finding a way to make it work no matter your strength, flexibility, or ability….there is always a way!
I have been teaching Pilates for over 10 years, and I like using that as a method for building strength to achieve new and challenging tricks.

Briana Morris, Circus Instructor
[Tiny Circus, Adaptive Aerial and Circus, Aerial Silks, Aerial Hoop]
I was born in Canberra before moving around every two years due to my dads job. I always said when I had children they would stay in the same area and so I made the move to Kingscliff where we have been for the last 8 years. We love it there!
My friend took me along at a circus class in my early 20’s as I always wanted to run away with the circus. After my first class I was hooked as have loved it ever since.
I did a year before I had my children and only two years ago came back to it. I have been doing hoop and trapeze for almost two years and just one year of silks.
I love the freedom circus gives you. I love that it is the one place I can come and completely be myself with no judgement. I feel completely happy and at peace here.
I absolutely adore my 3-5 year old classes and my sensory classes. I feel so blessed to be able to help these children find their love for circus.

[Aerial Hoop, Aerial Hammock, Aerial Silks]
I grew up here on the Gold Coast in Burleigh
I did cheerleading for 9 years and lost my passion for that sport to decided to try something new that was different and challenging. I avoided going to the beginner aerial class for months, then once I went I didn’t stop, now my whole life revolves around aerial.
I have been doing aerial since 2018.
I love that anyone can do circus it’s very adaptable , there’s more than 1 way you can do a trick or movement.
My favourite apparatus to teach is hoop , I love searching for new tricks and sequences to teach and I love creating/helping people with performances or routines.

[Aerial Silks, Aerial Hammock, Aerial Hoop]
I am Gold Coast born and bred! When I was young I tried many different sports, but nothing really sparked my interest. I did a bit of gymnastics as a kid but found it too rigid and not creative enough. When I was 11 I went to an aerial class with a friend just for a laugh and absolutely loved it. I was naturally very strong and musical so I loved learning physically challenging moves and putting them in routines! I’ve been training ever since!
I’ve been doing aerial for nearly 9 years and I have been performing in both the corporate and contemporary circus world, on and off, for 6 of those years!
My favourite thing about circus and aerial has always been the combination of sport and music. I absolutely love training and pushing my body to extremes, but being physically active is not enough. I love the mental challenge of trying to put sequences and skills to music and creating riveting, innovative routines to perform. I always train harder when I’ve got an inspiring piece of music playing, even if it is just something to improvise to. The juxtaposition of both intense, rigorous training and the freedom to be creative and musical is what I love most about circus!
I specialise in teaching aerial silk, aerial hoop, and aerial straps. I love being able to provide a safe, fun space for students to learn, gain strength, and improve but most importantly: feel happy and free whilst doing so!

I grew up in the Shoalhaven, NSW and moved to QLD later as an adult to explore the area and be a part of the active gold coast lifestyle. I absolutely love the area and have found a wonderful and open minded community here.
I really wanted to try something new that would encourage me to want to do physio. I had limited mobility but even as a child I had always loved the idea of learning gymnastics and I adored watching Cirque Du Soleil. When I saw aerial for the first time and realised I could learn this on the GC, i was really excited. I was 32 when I took the plunge and even though it was very challenging at first I think now that is what I love about it the most. I started learning different ways to make the skills work for me and that is where the adaptive aerial program was born. You are never too old to learn something new.
I have been doing aerial since 2013 but I have been exploring circus and physical theatre for the past 4 years. Aerial is a fantastic way to create art and tell stories with our bodies and I like to push that as much as i can.
Circus and aerial are so adaptive I love that it can be made to work with so many different types of bodies. It can teach you so much about your body awareness, and your body in space. making the connections through a holistic approach is where i see not only myself but others soar and watching the smiles on others faces when they achieve a goal they never though they could achieve is the most rewarding part for me as an instructor. It makes me feel very alive and liberated.
Adaptive aerial hammock is my bread and butter and if you would like to come and try it for the first time, i have a one on one approach that is tailored to your needs, strengths and abilities. Reaching your goals in my ultimate goal and to have you coming back week after week proving to the world that the disabled and adaptive circus arts community is strong in Australia.

Natasha Jackson, Acrobatics & Aerial Yoga Instructor
[Kids Acrobatics | Aerial Yoga]
I grew up on the Northside of Brisbane, spending most holidays at the coast.
I started gymnastics in kindergarten, later joined acrobatics and continued through my school years.
I have been teaching gymnastics on and off since leaving school. I continue to practise handstands and circus arts and hope to be able to as a senior as well!
I love the creativity of circus. Coming from an artistic gymnastics background, makes me appreciate the freedom and fun that circus allows. You can learn a whole range of things, then choose what part of the art that you like and are strong in.
I love teaching the acrobatics class. It is rewarding providing the foundations of key skills that young students love to try. The kids take these key points and test them out in different situations, such as in group skills and building routines.
